Our Modular Process

Modular construction is what MFC Modular is all about. Our process sets us apart from traditional construction companies and allows us to deliver an incredibly high standard of construction. Whether you need a garden Pod or a commercial showroom we have the skills and expertise to make it happen. But what sets us apart from other modular construction companies? That’s simple, it is our client focused attitude, material choice and passion for design.

We don’t do ego here, your needs come before any of our pre-conceived notions. While our experts will guide you and ensure everything is designed correctly and  to regulation, we recognize that we are building your vision not ours. All of our designs reflect that, anything that you feels needs to be changed will be changed to the best of our ability.

Design

Bespoke design is at the heart of MFC Modular. We aren’t just constructing your building but your vision. Our expert engineers work closely with you to ensure we meet every requirement. Whether a build needs to be designed for extensive wheelchair use, or you want to incorporate the latest sustainability technologies it is all possible with us.

Light Gauge Steel

Our process starts with the cold rolling of steel into light gauge steel. This is done right here in our purpose built facility, which allows us to limit waste steel by easily creating custom sizes to exact measurements. Aside from waste rolling our own steel lowers the usage of fuel and limits our carbon emissions by eliminating unnecessary transportation. Light Gauge Steel offers a number of structural benefits too.

Steel Frames

Once we roll our steel into usable lengths we assemble frames. Our frames allow us to quickly assmeble a build on site. In essence they act as the skeleton of a building, providing structural support and giving shape. These frames remain very light weight and can be assembled into larger structures using nothing heavier than hand tools. Once everything is assembled it provides us with a base to fill expand upon.

Finishing

With the base of your structure in place we can start to finish your build. We ensure a comprehensive insulation system and that we not only meet but exceed all regulations. Using LGS frames means we are able to easily panel the interior with quality materials and add our insulation system quickly and accurately.

We make use of rock wool and Expanded Polystyrene for our insulation system, paired with a semi permeable membrane to stop the penetration of moisture into the project. On the exterior attractive cladding and renders create a comfortable and pleasing aesthetic to match whatever feel you’re going for.
