Modular Homes

Designing Your Dream Modular Home

Light Gauge Steel modular homes offer a solution to the difficulties of those trying to get on the property ladder. Our engineers work with our clients to bring their vision to life. We offer bespoke, sustainable and cost effective building solutions. Allowing you to get past the usual hurdles associated with traditional building methods.

The stability and accuracy of LGS frames and our factory controlled production methods free up our engineers to design your home however you want. This means it’s possible to put walls wherever you want or embrace a truly open plan design without the need for support pillars.

When you choose MFC Modular to build your home the only limit is your imagination.

Thermal Efficiency

We use modern methods of construction and a comprehensive insulation system to ensure fantastic thermal efficiency.

As standard our buildings carry a U-value of 0.18 W/m2K, which can be improved upon by customer request. These low valus make our building incredibly energy and cost efficient to heat and keep at a comfortable temperature year round. Allowing you to cut energy spending in the colder months drastically and reduce your carbon footprint.

Green Energy Technology

As per Part L building regulations and Nearly Zero Energy Building Regulations 20% of a homes power must come from renewable sources.

We can easily install PV Panels or heat pumps into our builds which will cover the renewable energy requirement for a home. This not only let’s you meet regulations in your home but also reduces your carbon footprint and energy bills.

The installation of high quality green energy solutions also means improved BER ratings. The greater reliance your home has on green energy the more you can save and the lower your carbon emissions will be. It is even possible to install both solar energy panels and a heat pump to further improve your energy efficiency.

Cost Effective Bespoke Modular Homes

Although our modular homes are fully bespoke they require less time and labour than traditional builds. Additionally they use more cost effective materials, we need significantly less steel than an equivalent traditionally constructed house would need concrete for example.

Combined these factors lead to a significantly more cost effective method to creating a new build. But the cost effectiveness doesn’t only apply to construction. Generlly higher BER reatings and lower maintenance cost over time makes our modular builds more cost effective than even purchasing an established home.

This makes a modular home a significantly safer investment than a traditional build, saving you money in the long term and giving you a transparent budget from the beginning.

Modular Home Developments

While we’re more than happy to build one off private homes, the real power of modular construction lies in larger developments. Unlike traditional building methods modular construction can be scaled up much easier, allowing larger quantities of homes to be built quickly. This allows significantly shorter build times with no unforeseen delays due to weather conditions. In fact we have worked on developments that proceeded at a rate of one home every two days.
